Saturday Photo Hunt - Hobby

NATURECOLLAGE

It is probably obvious from my sidebar that photography is my hobby, specifically nature photography. There are many days that I take well over a hundred digital photographs on our Pollywog Creek property.

My husband is an excellent resource for helping me identify the flora and fauna that grow and live around us, but I also keep a variety of resources handy, including the National Audubon Society Field Guide to Florida, The Guide to Florida Wildflowers, by Walter Kingsley Taylor, Florida Wild Flowers, by Bell and Taylor, Peterson Field Guides - Eastern Birds and Florida's Fabulous Birds by W. Williams.

Hobby? I'd say you should go pro! These photos are definitely professional quality. My favorite? The butterfly. PERFECT shot! So clear, crisp and colorful. AND I know it must have taken a while to take a picture of it. More patience than I possess. lol

Congrats on being site of the day!

Congratulations on being the site of the day. I love the wildlife photography too although trying to figure out what the names of the birds and flowers are is sometimes maddening. Why on earth did they give so many different names for the same plant?
