Saturday Photo Hunt - "I love......."

For some crazy reason, I decided to participate in NaBloPoMo this year, and I have been challenged in my efforts to create an interesting post every day. Yesterday I failed miserably, I might add. A post - yes, but probably only interesting to me.

Despite the challenge, I have thoroughly enjoyed making new friends through NaBloPoMo - like Beth Vogt, author of Baby Changes Everything - Embracing and Preparing for Motherhood After 35. Yesterday, Beth left the following message on my NaBloPoMo page:

"I love the picture of the "heart" you use with your name. Is it a nail? Tell me more about it, if you please."

I was having difficulty narrowing the choices for today's Photo Hunt theme, but because Beth asked me about a "heart" photo, I concluded that though answering Beth's question would be a stretch on the theme, it could still work.

The "heart" photo Beth asked about is on my NaBloPoMo page. It is actually a photograph of one of the heart-shaped cut-outs on my backyard swing. I am intrigued by the variety of textures and the "windows" created by the heart-shaped cut-outs and wood slats. The swing - a place of rest and tranquility - was a gift to me from the man I have loved for over thirty years, and is one of my favorite subjects to photograph.

The collage contains just a few of my photographs of that swing during various times of the year and from different angles.
