The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Psalm 92:12 ESV
Joining the lovely Deidra and her Sunday community...

And life, while it has its ugly swamps, its vile weeds, and its sharp thorns,
has always its fair flowers to charm the eye with their beauty,
or to fill the air with their fragrance..."
Rev. John Flowers Serjeant, 1878

Came over from Deidra's. I think yours is my favorite photo of the day.
ReplyDeleteI came from Deidra's too...this is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe are given every day to flourish and grow of course, but Sunday does seem particularly apt...
ReplyDeleteAmen...
ReplyDeleteI actually was going to use this verse today... and was trying to find one of my palm tree photos from Uganda ... and then felt led to jump to the "High Tower". Funny, huh? I think God blessed us both be dropping in His verses/plans for us. Lovely photo, and, of course, Scripture. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful promise -- Oh, to be firmly rooted in Him!
ReplyDeleteAmen!!!! Welcome, Lyli!
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you, Joanne. Another friend of mine wrote about the word flourish this weekend, and then I discovered this verse to go with the cedar branches that included flourish...and I KNEW it was it! Thank you.
