It's my first quiet Saturday at home in at least three weeks, and though I'm once again at the edge of deadlines that require my attention, I'm anxious to first be outside in the cool morning sunshine with my basket of books and cameras....and a large cup of coffee, of course.
And you? In this new day the Lord has made? What delights do you anticipate?

Linking with sweet Sandra's "Still Saturday"...

Your photography is stunning. And I love your title. Enjoy your Saturday home.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm singing "listen to the mockingbird..." Beautiful. As always.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images. Have a wonderful day. I am heading out to watch the Hawks and Eagles as they migrate through.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful photos, can you tell us your camera and lens? God bless!
ReplyDeleteStill and stunning! The wonder of Pollywog Creek, the beauty tucked into your day, brilliantly captured and thankfully shared. A gift!
ReplyDeleteHow do you get so close?! He is beautiful, Patricia. My blundering always scares the birdies away. Lovely, lovely pause today.
ReplyDeleteThose pics take my breath away - maybe I'll get out tomorrow and take some myself, I don't think it will be quite as frigid as it has been!
ReplyDeleteThe bottle brush tree is fascinating. Splendid photos, all.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the bottle brush? And I'm captivated by the different stages of blossoming and how the light behind them twinkles. Thank you so much, Susan. A photography compliment from you is a treasured gift. xo
ReplyDeleteYou are a dear! Trust me. If it was frigid here, I would NOT be outside either! xo
ReplyDeleteThank you, Laura. How do I get so close? It's how God teaches me patience and waiting and moving slowly....a gift attached to disability. I usually have to find the time to just sit for a while and the birds will come close to me. I also wear "quiet" shoes when I'm wandering about. Old ballet slippers, or even a pair of heavy wool socks, are helpful. And I pray...and ask God to show me what I'd otherwise overlook. He's not a genie in a bottle...but He's always faithful to show me what He wants me to see.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Cindee. Ah....yes...the wonder of Pollywog Creek. Some day I'm going to show the messy, the trashy, the not-so-beautiful all around me...to prove that there's beauty "tucked into" all of our days. I'm ever so grateful when the Lord opens my eyes.
ReplyDeleteThank you muchly, beautiful Ruth. It must be so exciting to see those hawks and eagles.
ReplyDelete=) "Listen to the mocking bird..." Now I'm singing it, too!!!! You are sweet!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Dawn. And I DID enjoy my Saturday at home this weekend. It was a much needed blessing.
