The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;
where morning dawns, where evening fades,
you call forth songs of joy.
{emphasis mine}
The Psalmist didn't say that the edge of the Grand Canyon is filled with awe at your wonders.
Neither did he say it was the mighty oceans, painted buntings, majestic mountains or ancient wonders - as awe-inspiring as they are.
He said it's in the whole earth - where morning dawns and evening fades...
Does the morning dawn and evening fade where you and I live?
No matter what, there's awe and wonder right where we are...
...in my backyard and yours
...in places of wealth and in places of poverty
...in flowery meadows and fiery deserts
...on crowded sidewalks and isolated roads
...in the calm and in the storm
...in the beat of our hearts and the taste of bread
...in waking up and going to sleep
What wonders are calling you to a song of joy today?
