"I must try and cultivate an eye for life's mercies...
And life, while it has its ugly swamps, its vile weeds, and its sharp thorns,
has always its fair flowers to charm the eye with their beauty,
or to fill the air with their fragrance..."
Rev. John Flowers Serjeant, 1878
and a few days later, a furry baby leaves the nest...
and it wouldn't be Pollywog Creek without a fat and furry fox squirrel...
Blessings to all my photohunt friends and a great big thanks to TNChick, for hosting the Saturday Photo Hunt every week. For "furry" photos from other Photo Hunt participants be sure to click on the Photo Hunter Banner or the Technorati PhotoHunt tag below. The theme for next week's Photo Hunt is: bridges(s).
while I scrolled down I kept saying (for a half dozen times LOL), "oh this one's my favourite"... In the end, it's a tie between Nicky (who looks so much like our Simba) and baby rabbit. Beautiful photography! Hope you have a happy weekend Patricia! :)
Great photos and a good spot re the insects -- wouldn't have thought of them as having fur but it sure does look like they do have such from your close-up shots! :)
I love the photo of the cat sleeping...so cute. However, the photo of the mama rabbit nursing her babies is priceless. You can just see glimpses of the babies. Great photos.
Wow what a bunch of lovely furry insects! Love all these pictures and you are really lucky to be living with so many furry friends around! Great pictures!
oh my! love the furry photos for this weeks theme! I was so happy to see you in my blog this weekend! I've missed you...all my fault! Happy Photo Hunting!
What great photographs!! I especially love the one of the caterpillar. The detail and overall composition is just fantastic! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I will definitely be following you for quite some time. Would you mind if I added you to my list of "Other Photo Blogs"? Please comment me and let me know =]
Flawless shots, I am smitten by your artistry and mastery of the craft! I never ever manage to photograph anything as brilliantly clear as these pictures here. I hope I learn some day.
Congratulations on winning the Post of the Day Award!
Thank you, everyone. I'm just thrilled to know that y'all enjoyed this photo display of God's creation. It really is all Him. All I do is push the button on a camera that I barely know how to use.

Those are all so good! Especially the close-ups of the bugs. I love the little rabbit, though.

Happy weekend!
Good choices and great shots all! I particularly like the lighting on the cat shot...
All your shots are so clear! I have problems even with stick figures that aren't about to fly away.
Those are seriously great shots, Patricia. I like the way you use a camera.
Re: your WWII aircraft shots - I posted a few shots of a Mustang as well. From memory I think the post was called `Mustang Tally'.
Your photos are my favorites for this week. :)

The photo of the fox squirrel is previous. I never get to see any of these in Arizona.
